DOGS & CATS RUNNING AT LARGE
There have been complaints from individuals who are indicating that people are out in their yards with their dogs and allowing them to run on the street and into other yards. It has also been noted that several cats are allowed by owners to roam outside their property. If a resident does not have a cat it is unfair that th ey have cat feces in their gardens/yards. The Asquith Town Council has set the following dates for Clean Waste Days:
The old Asquith Landfill site will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This is for disposal of tree branches, "clean wood"(which means wood or lumber that has not been painted or treated in any way), grass clippings, leaves, or general garden waste. This is for ratepayers of the Town of Asquith ONLY !
The site will be open for depositing this "clean" waste that can be burned in the winter months. Any waste that is brought in garbage bags will need to be dumped out and the garbage bags will need to be taken back with you. Loads should be tarped and strapped if they are large. There are fines for refuse that falls out of your vehicle on route to the landfill. Also, any attempts to deposit refuse other than that stated will result in you losing all privileges to use this service again.
